“Alexander can write about anything. And did I mention he needs very little editing? He is truly a go-to writer because his work is just so good—and because he is such a fun and fabulous collaborator.”

As a journalist, I tackle features and profiles, columns and Q&As, obits and infographics, and everything in between. I enjoy developing ideas with editors and art directors, and I strive to deliver crisp, clean, compelling copy.
My work has appeared in publications ranging from the New York Times and the Economist to Wired and the Guardian; and I’ve contributed to magazines and newsletters published by institutions such as Brown, Caltech, Columbia, Dartmouth, Harvard, HHMI, Johns Hopkins, MIT, NYU, Penn, Rice, Rockefeller, Scripps, Stanford, and Yale, earning accolades from the National Science Foundation and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) along the way.
As a writer who focuses on schools and nonprofits, I also craft everything from brochures and viewbooks to case studies and press releases, helping my clients further their missions by communicating effectively with their intended audiences. I’ve worked on marketing and promotional materials for the Associated Press, the College Board, Columbia University, the Fashion Institute of Technology, the University of Illinois, and the American Association of Advertising Agencies.
